Back with the second Supershow review for Rock N Roll Wrestling this weekend! If you want to find out what went down at the RNR Academy on Saturday arvo, head back to the last post, but for now, Xyon, Lee Morrow and the rest of the Rock N Roll crew take their talents to the Campbelltown RSL.

Campbelltown has become the school holiday base for Rock N Roll, and the fanbase seems to have established itself well there, with strong numbers and invested crowds. With some anticipated matches on the bill, RNR seem to have set themselves up for success with this show. But how did it all play out in the end?

Let's do this!

-----------

Match 1: Morgan Rose vs. Zesty Zane

For the second show in a row, the energetic Zesty Zane has been entrusted with kicking off the card! He's opposite former Middleweight Champion Morgan Rose. There's a little history there, with Morgan being opposite Zane in his debut tag match, and Zane actually saved yours truly during a post-match altercation with the "Heartless" one, but that's another story for another day...

In this one, much like yesterday's battle with Vega, Zane's Zesty ways frustrate and confuse Rose, and he gets a smack on the bottom which really puts the former champ off his game. Zane connects with a great crossbody, and continues to build momentum from there. A running blockbuster is on the money, followed by a superkick... and Zane gets it! What a massive victory for Zane, just six months into his career!

Winner: Zesty Zane

Zane is definitely doing something right- putting in the work physically, and connecting with audiences in person and online. He makes a genuine effort to go out to the fans and talk to them during and after the shows, and the passion is evident. The rewards seem to be coming. Morgan Rose is always top value, a great antagonist who can take a loss like this and bounce back with a scathing promo or the use of his Dogs.

Match 2: Robbie Zucco vs. Tristan Slade

This one's been a long time in the making, the big break up of the Greasers... but wait, Slade's on crutches and in a walking boot! He's in no state to compete, but has found a suitable replacement... the imposing and intimidating EC Brownie!

Match 2: Robbie Zucco vs. EC Brownie

Early on, there's a few awkward moments in the corner, some apparent miscommunication, who's throwing the boots? They get on track and Brownie beats Zucco down with some smashmouth offence, including a wild looking Black Hole Slam. It's good for a convincing two count.

Zucco gets the people behind him and mounts a comeback. He takes to the air and lands a smooth looking elbow drop for a great near fall of his own. All the way, Slade is a nuisance from the stage, looking to get in Zucco's business, and eventually Robbie knocks him down. More power moves from Brownie, including a rib-rattling Spear, and Brownie can't believe that doesn't get the win! He argues with Ref Rach- I hear they can't stand each other- and she shoves him into a schoolboy by the Original Greaser!

Winner: Robbie Zucco

Post-match, Slade attacks Zucco with his crutches then hits a superkick. He was never hurt! It was all a ruse! That scoundrel! Flame, the former manager of the Greasers, runs out and puts herself between Slade and a fallen Zucco. A furious Slade backs her up into the corner and yells "you're supposed to be my wife!" Wow, was that ever Greasers canon? Or is this breaking the fourth wall?

He tells Flame to get out, but when he grabs the crutch to hit Zucco again, Flame throws herself onto Robbie like a human shield... but Slade hits her anyway! He goes to the stage and takes off his wedding ring, yelling, "we're done!"

Powerful angle, one of the most personal and in-depth ones Rock N Roll have ever done. It made people uncomfortable, but I think Zucco and Slade know what they're doing and can parlay this into an extremely heated, personal match. I guess the only question left is, what stage will hold this grudge match? Absolutely intrigued to see where this goes next.

Match 3: Otis & Moses vs. Lachy The Tradie and Ben The Referee

Otis and Moses came out getting in the crowd's faces, but they were always going to get booed against the Middleweight Champion Tradie and the hometown hero Ben!

Moses & Otis, as something of an established tag team, beat down the smaller Ben and Tradie at different times. Ben does an amazing job looking sympathetic until the hot tag to Tradie, who impresses by landing a standing Lionsault on both opponents. We then get some babyface tag team synergy as they hit a Doomsday Device on Otis! (Kudos to Tradie for getting Otis up there. Body Biz working wonders!)

Unfortunately, not all good things can last forever. Ben goes up top for some more high risk, but Moses pushes him off and he goes throat first into the ropes. A GTS by Otis follows, then an RKO by Moses, and Ben falls short at home, but puts up a hell of a fight!

Winners: Otis & Moses

The experience of Otis & Moses seemed to be key there, but the good guys showed tremendous heart and are levelling up their athleticism every time out. The confidence is clearly growing, which I love to see.

Intermission time! I go for a walk to stretch my legs and check out the merch table. The great Chantel is working merch while heavily pregnant, what a trooper.

Match 4: Albie Anne Troska (w/ Mat Gauge) vs. Kathryn Nixon

Gaugey Baby hypes up the crowd for a returning Albie, who blows kisses to the crowd. This is her first match back after a surgery. Also making a return to RNR, for the first time in over 12 years according to ring announcer Patrick, "The Real Deal", Kathryn Nixon. She snarls at everyone and tells them to "get stuffed".

Fundamentals as they chain wrestle and work headlocks... but we also get some hair pulling, because Nixon's not above breaking a rule or two. Albie rallies as Nixon looks increasingly desperate and in despair, and she gets rocked after a spin kick. We go to the top rope and Albie hits a Swanton to end it! Looks like it hit hard.

Winner: Albie Anne Troska

A successful return for both ladies! Albie is insanely over, and I would bet the majority of the crowd- especially the kids- didn't know Nixon, but she did a great job establishing what she was about and drawing heat, getting some strong "Nixon sucks" chants. I talked to her after the show, she was actually lovely! But great at her job as a heel under those bright lights.

Main Event: RNR Championship- Xyon vs. Lee Morrow (c)

The Australian Hero gets a warm welcome, as does Xyon! More people seem to know him in Campbelltown than they do Wollongong, with some "Run It Straight" chants ringing out. Morrow tears off his shirt to a lot of fanfare, then calls for a test of strength with Xyon. Xyon bites, and Lee fakes him out with a "suck it". Gets me every time. Top babyface of Rock N Roll, ladies and gentlemen! (It's actually kind of endearing, seeing him be a cheeky smartass)

Lee attempts to knock down the brick wall that is Xyon with some running shoulder blocks, but it has no effect. The pace quickens times 10X as Xyon runs the ropes, and this gets super intense in a hurry with some shoulders in the corner and hard strikes... but Otis and Moses run in to attack both men!

Winner: No Contest, I guess?

Lee grabs the mic, and this becomes a tag team match, playa!

Main Event: Moses & Otis vs. Lee Morrow & Xyon

They immediately brawl through the crowd. It's hard to make out everything clearly from our front row seats now, but Xyon joins Lee in the spot of picking up a child and ramming them feet first into the opponents. Someone also goes through the merch table before they all get sent back to the ring. (Found it on socials, Otis takes a back suplex through it by Lee)

Moses tries all the cheap shots he can at Xyon on the apron, as does Otis. Eventually, the power of the RNR Champion takes over, and he holds Otis up in a vertical suplex for 10, and then tags Xyon in, saying, "I bet he can hold it longer!" Xyon gets up to 12 before the spine-rattling drop.

Morrow gets beaten down for a stretch as the legal man, until he gets the boot up on a charging Otis and hits the Cody Cutter. Xyon back in to hit a Death Valley Driver, followed by the back suplex into the cutter. A double team cutter hits by the champion and our visiting challenger, and that's one for the good guys!

Winners: Lee Morrow & Xyon

Post-match, Lee puts Xyon over as an example of hard work. Xyon wishes everyone a happy Australia Day with "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi" to end the show.

Overall Thoughts

It felt like Rock N Roll saved some of the stronger stuff for the second night of the Supershows. Thought this was a definite step up from the outdoor Academy show from the day before. That said, the show was immediately enhanced by a better crowd here in Campbelltown, who actually seemed to be fans of wrestling and were there for a good time.

My only disappointment was not seeing a longer version of Lee vs. Xyon. I get that it's face vs. face, but those matches can still work, and it was shaping up to be a lot of hard-hitting fun. But hey, we definitely weren't deprived of great action, action that went all around the Campbelltown RSL.

All in all, a strong start to 2026 for Rock N Roll Wrestling. I'm excited to see where things go next- for everyone from the rookies, to the veterans, to the Greasers, to the ladies, and everyone in between. Also hopeful for a major Bachelor comeback!

Overall Score: 8/10

There's more Rock N Roll Wrestling content to come- not only reviews of their next shows, but there's an article I've had in the bank for a while that I wasn't able to publish on the last site I wrote for. Luckily, this is my site, and I can do what the hell I want. Stay tuned!

Until next time, take care,

Mick
